Lawson, a South Carolina native, is a dedicated traveler, and has lived the past 15 years in Costa Rica. As a professional diver, Lawson has mastered many of the more complicated aspects of the sport and has worked as a dive guide, cave diver and sailor. Lawson's role in underwater cinematography extends beyond camera work into photography, lighting, and logistics. He has served as International Producer for Standoff Studios since 2008, acting as the on-site producer for The Catch: Costa Rica and Mayan Blue.
