Graduating as an actor from Act School in 2007, Duarte made his theatre debut a year later with the play "My Sweet Orange Tree." Since then, he has been actively involved in numerous TV, theatre, and film projects. On television, he has appeared in shows such as "Vingança" (SIC), "Morangos com Açúcar" (TVI), "Mulheres" (TVI), and recently "Miúdo Graúdo" (RTP1), where he also took on the role of actor director. In 2018, Duarte joined the casts of two new RTP1 series, "Idiotas" and "Sul." His theatre work includes performances in "Happy Birthday," "As Obras Completas de William Shakespeare em 97 minutos," "Zorro," and "Lúcia Afogada." In 2015, he became part of Companhia Chapitô with the play "Macbeth," which has toured globally in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, earning several awards. In film, Duarte has received multiple nominations and awards, notably for his lead role in the short film "Boy." He has also appeared in feature films such as "A Bela e o Paparazzo," "Os Gatos Não têm Vertigens," "Quarta Divisão," the German production "Fado," and "Al Berto." Additionally, he is part of the casts of "Parque Mayer" and "Carga," both set to premiere in 2018. Duarte earned a Best Supporting Actor nomination from the Portuguese Academy of Cinema for his role as Zé in "Al Berto.
