Ms. Traci Rhone is an independent filmmaker whose work sits at the intersection of social justice, counterculture, and cinematic storytelling. She brings a rare dual perspective to film: creative vision paired with institutional financial expertise. In addition to her work as a producer, Rhone has professional experience in investment banking and strategic finance, advising on capital structuring, investor relations, and complex transactions-experience that directly informs her approach to film finance, production strategy, and independent studio building.
She has collaborated with major companies, including Time Warner, as well as Grammy- and Oscar-winning producers, directors, and actors, navigating both studio and independent ecosystems with fluency.
Rhone is the founder of Kingston5 Productions, established in memory of her late father, Trevor D. Rhone, the acclaimed Jamaican playwright and filmmaker whose work helped shape Caribbean cinema and theater internationally. His credits include The Harder They Come (co-author), Smile Orange, Top Rankin, Milk and Honey (Best Screenplay, Toronto International Film Festival; Genie Award winner), and One Love (Cannes Film Festival).
Through Kingston5 Productions, Rhone develops and produces culturally resonant, character-driven projects that challenge dominant narratives while remaining grounded in disciplined financial and production execution.
