Matthew is an award-winning screenwriter, playwright and short story writer.
He has written numerous episodes of Eastenders for BBC One and two plays for BBC Radio 4. His short film Hello Muscles won several awards across the UK and internationally.
Matthew’s last play, The Man Jesus, was nominated for an Irish Times Best New Play award and has had multiple productions around the world.
His short stories have received prizes in the Costa Short Story Awards, The Plaza Prizes, Hammond House International Literary Prize, Creative Writing NZ Short Story Prize, Wells Festival of Literature and the Shooter Literary Magazine Short Story competition.
