Lucian Zhang (Zhang Xiaoan) is a Chinese-born writer-director based in Texas, USA. He received his Master's degree in Film and Media Study from the State University of New York at Buffalo and pursued further studies in film production at The University of Melbourne's School of Film and TV. His work blends restrained visual aesthetics with emotionally grounded storytelling, often exploring themes of disconnection, cultural pressure, and longing through both realist and speculative genres.
