Rachel Vianna received a Bachelors degree in Film from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and a Masters degree in Journalism from Columbia University. She is a freelancer since 2011, working primarily as a Director/Editor and Story Producer in a wide range of non-fiction projects: documentary features, video journalism pieces, commercials, branded content, reality shows, and online courses. Some of her end clients (in both Brazil and the US) have included Rede Globo, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Lifetime, Nationswell and a host of different NGOs and institutions supporting conservation and educational programs, such as Global Communities, The Nature Conservancy, Miracle Feet, Instituto Natura and Cidade Escola Aprendiz. Most recently, she was an Assistant Director, Script Collaborator, Researcher, and Grant Writer in the documentary feature My Darling Supermarket (IDFA 2019, MoMA's Doc Fortnight, Visions Du Réel, É Tudo Verdade, among others).
