Sean Howell is the CEO of Hornet, one of the largest gay social networking apps in the world with more than 11M members worldwide and producer of media-known for its ongoing Know Your Status campaign. Sean has been a fellow of the World Affairs Council, a trustee on their board, and served as the President of the Young Professionals International Network. He graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in economics and later worked in East Africa and China. Howell has been a international speaker on mobile technology, the future of advertising, LGBT issues and his opinions on technology and LGBT issues have appeared in print in places like the NYT. Sean is an active member of Startout, the leading LGBT technology non profit, is a mentor to other LGBT startup founders, and served on various non profit boards like PFLAG. Hornet has offices in Cape Town, Sao Paulo, Chiang Mai, and Hong Kong. He lives in San Francisco.
