Shefali Deshpande is an actress, singer, and songwriter. Born and raised in the Bay Area, she grew up with immigrant parents from India who cultivated within her a strong love for the arts, music, and performance. She studied Musical Theatre at USC, and although she began her career in LA, she has become more of a bi-coastal and traveling performer since. She played the lead role "Sita" in the web series "The Fob and I," featured on the BBC and NPR, and made her TV debut as Chalali on "Minx" on HBO Max. She most recently played Mrs. Darling/Ensemble in the National Tour of Peter Pan, directed by Lonny Price, additional book by Larissa Fasthorse. She has appeared in commercials for Apple, Uber, WhatsApp, AT&T, and more. In addition to releasing her own Pop Fusion singles on all platforms (Artist name: Shefali), she has performed at "Hollywood Live" events, hosted by Bill Bellamy and Lisa Raye, as well as Staples Center, The Mint, and more. Shefali worked on writing and singing the soundtrack for the ALLBLK TV show, "Double Cross," and continues to expand her repertoire. Shefali is deeply and positively influenced by her South Asian heritage, and her primary goal is to use her art to empower underrepresented people, particularly BIPOC girls and women.
