Brittany Menjivar was born and raised in the DMV; she now works and plays in the City of Angels. In 2019, she was one of five screenwriters selected for the AT&T Hello Lab Filmmaker Mentorship Program. The film that she developed through the program-Fragile.com, a thriller short about a teenage girl who livestreams herself crying in a desperate bid for fame, fortune, and affection-racked up multiple festival awards and has garnered millions of views on ALTER. In 2025, Brittany Menjivar was announced as the co-writer of New Millennium Boyz, a Y2K coming-of-age feature based on the novel of the same name by Alex Kazemi (produced by Chris and Roberta Hanley). Her short fiction collection, Parasocialite, has been praised in the Los Angeles Review of Books, the Whitney Review, Office, and Nylon, which named it a Must-Read Release.
