Ines Sastre was born in Valladolid, Spain. Her career began at the age of 12 when she was selected for a fast-food commercial. This opportunity caught the attention of producer Carlos Saura, who cast her in "El Dorado" alongside Lambert Wilson (1987). The film was officially selected for the Cannes Film Festival in 1988, marking the start of her international acting career.
Ines also gained worldwide recognition as a top model, succeeding Isabella Rossellini as the face of Lancôme's iconic Trésor fragrance. Alongside her acting and modeling, she completed studies in French modern literature at La Sorbonne University.
She returned to cinema in Italy, working with renowned directors Michelangelo Antonioni in "Beyond the Clouds" (1996), alongside John Malkovich, Sophie Marceau, and Fanny Ardant, and Pupi Avati in "The Best Man" (1998).
In French cinema, Ines made a notable comeback starring as Epona, Vercingetorix’s wife, in "Druids" (2001) by Jacques Dorfmann, alongside Max von Sydow and Christophe Lambert. That same year, she delivered a standout performance as a manipulative courtesan in "Vidocq" by Pitof, acting alongside Guillaume Canet, André Dussollier, and Gérard Depardieu, with whom she had previously worked in the TV mini-series "The Count of Monte Cristo" directed by Josée Dayan.
Ines Sastre has also appeared in two American films: "Sabrina" (1996) by Sydney Pollack, starring Harrison Ford, and the melodrama "The Lost City," featuring Andy Garcia, Bill Murray, and Dustin Hoffman.
