Hannah Dominique Scofield grew up telling stories to her siblings in Birmingham, Alabama. For years, she'd walk laps on her gravel driveway that snaked beside her family's dilapidated southern home. As she'd listen to the muddy creek purr in the woods around her, she wondered what other places were like in God's world(s).
In 2021, she completed her M. F. A. in screenwriting from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, John Wells Division. In the same year, she wrote and helped produce the feature film "Magic City," directed by Robert Corna. Following her work on "Magic City," Scofield helped shoot a documentary called "Mikey" about a boy with Down Syndrome who passed away from cancer. In 2022, Scofield shot, acted, and directed a web-series pilot, "Planet Poetica"--a reboot of the original experimental short in 2019.
Scofield's feature script, "Daywake," the dream-world sequel to Planet Poetica, was awarded semi-finalist in Flicker's Rhode Island Film Festival's screenwriting competition in 2022.
Scofield writes features and poetry about people who dream of forbidden love within fantasy worlds.
