Ivan Kokorin, born in Moscow, is a Russian actor known for his work in theater and film. His notable films include 9th Company (2005), Shik (2003), Brother 2 (2000), and Posledniy bronepoezd (2006).
After graduating from the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio (MXAT) in 2000, Kokorin made his stage debut at the A. P. Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre during his fourth year. That same year, he appeared on screen for the first time in Aleksey Balabanov's cult film Brother 2 (2000).
In 2003, he played one of the lead roles, Nemo, in Shik, directed by Bakhtyar Khudojnazarov, which won two awards at the Tokyo International Film Festival.
His career breakthrough came in 2005 with his portrayal of Private Chugainov in Fedor Bondarchuk's 9th Company, a film that received numerous awards and critical acclaim.
Kokorin’s filmography now includes over 75 titles, such as Bratya Karamazovy (2009), Dom Solntsa (2010), I'll Wait, Revelations, Fighters 2, The Last Frontier, Bender: The Final Hustle (2021), Restoran po ponyatiyam (2022), and The Recruited.
Besides his film and theater work, he is a featured reader ("artist-lecteur") at the Moscow State Academic Philharmonia.
- Nominated for the Golden Mask theater award in 2018 for his role as Vandal in the Mayakovsky Theatre’s production Exile / My Friend Freddie Mercury.
- Nominated for the Poet of the Year "Debut" literary prize in 2022.

He also leads the author's acting course at Aleksei Mitta's film school.
