Joyce Cyr was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She cut her teeth by working in the film industry as an Assistant Director on fantastic productions including Suicide Squad and working as an extra an a myriad of films all of which started on set with Ryan Reynolds in The Captive and Dominic Purcell, Kim Coates and Louis Gossett Jr. in, A Fighting Man. She also worked on the Canadian series Letterkenny.
She booked her first speaking role with Jewel Staite, and Lisa Berry on The Wrong Bed: Naked Pursuit.
Her voice-over work began on the short film "Breaking Free" which was an Official Selection at the Russian International Horror Film Festival and an Award for the Online Isolation Short Videos Festival. She has since also voiced one of the main characters in a full length audio story Terra Formosa which is in post production.
