Brandon Hardesty was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 13, 1987. He attended Baltimore Lutheran School, where in sixth grade, his English teacher encouraged him to participate in the school play. He acted in two productions: The Crucible and George Washington Slept Here.
After finishing high school, he enrolled at Stevenson University and Towson University, studying film. In 2006, as YouTube was gaining popularity, Hardesty began creating videos in his parents' basement, reenacting his favorite movie scenes. These videos quickly gained traction, and in 2007, one of his videos was featured in a Geico commercial.
Later that year, a film producer who had seen one of Hardesty’s videos invited him to audition for the independent film Bart Got A Room, which starred William H. Macy and Cheryl Hines. Hardesty landed the role and subsequently secured representation.
In early 2008, Hardesty appeared five times in a row on Jimmy Kimmel Live, performing reenactments of the five Best Picture nominees of that year. Following this, he remained on the East Coast, working at a grocery store until he earned a lead role in American Pie Presents: The Book of Love and a supporting role in Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star. Since then, Hardesty has lived both in Los Angeles, California, and Baltimore, Maryland. While he continues to create YouTube videos, his primary focus has been auditioning for roles in feature films and television.
