Jen is a London-based writer and screenwriter whose work spans children’s television, live action, comedy, and theatre. After beginning her career as a primary school teacher, she moved into comedy, taking three shows to the Edinburgh Fringe. Her one-woman show was later selected for the Soho Rising Festival at Soho Theatre. She has performed for BBC Asian Network, with her set later broadcast on BBC iPlayer, and presented a Radio 1 podcast in which she interviewed comedians. Jen’s work often engages with themes of identity, belonging, and play. Her CBBC short The Main Part, inspired by her experiences growing up mixed-race, was nominated for a BAFTA in 2021. She has since written across a range of formats, including children’s animation, sketch comedy, live-action series, and theatre. Across her projects, Jen focuses on telling character-driven stories for young and family audiences.
