Gennard Khemari Johnson, from henceforth to be referred to as "GKJ", was born in Fort Benning GA to Deborah and Eugene Johnson. The son of a military father, GKJ is no stranger to adjustment, as he spent part of his childhood in Germany, and Kansas before his family moved again, and eventually settled in Enterprise, AL.
Music was an early love for GKJ. Influenced by his father's musical ability to play the saxophone, GKJ began penning rhymes. He eventually signed to an independent record label entitled Soul 1st Records, based in Alabama.
GKJ began writing more progressively, and his musical taste shifted towards movie scores. The awe-inspiring sounds of scores such as that of "Indiana Jones", and "City Slickers", a few of GKJ's personal favorites, ignited a nostalgic feeling of an appreciation for film. He subsequently decided to try his hand at film writing, completing his first feature film in 2015.
Driven by the desire to broaden his knowledge of the film business, GKJ enrolled in Full Sail University in 2016, and graduated in 2 ½ years with his bachelors in Digital Cinematography.
Now a full time Writer, Director, Cinematographer and Editor, GKJ is primed to present his art to the world through G THINK Pictures.
