Karin is an innovative and motivated television producer and director with a high level of experience in broadcast television content production across a variety of genres. Karin’s career started as a camera operator at both SBS and ABC before she stepped up into a directing role on several drama productions at the ABC. Her transition into the world of children’s television has meant a storied body of work including many productions at the ABC from the original Bananas in Pyjamas and Playschool. Other productions she has worked on include Playhouse Disney for the Disney Channel/Channel 7, Hi Five for Kids Like Us/Channel 9 and Camp Orange - The Final Frontier for Nickelodeon to a key role in the development of ABC TV’s Giggle and Hoot which she produced and directed for its entire 10 yr season. Staying on at the ABC, she has also produced and directed Hoot Hoot Go, and The Wonder Gang and followed this up by Series Producing two series of the live action/animation show, Reef School. Currently (2026), in a freelance producer/director capacity, she is working on developing two projects - Cockatoo Kids - for a preschool audience and Eureka Class! for the 8-12 yr olds.
