Erik Durbin was born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. He grew up mostly in Cary, North Carolina, but also grew up a fair bit in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Beyond that, his growth has been less pronounced, distributed evenly over the other places he's lived. His father William Durbin, Jr., was a prolific writer on science and theology.
