Shiv holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from the Swiss institution Les Roches. After completing his studies, he returned to India to manage his family-owned 50-room property, Sagar Resort, in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. With his Swiss training and disciplined approach, he successfully transformed the resort from a loss-making venture into a profitable enterprise. He later earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad - a program in collaboration with Kellogg, Wharton, and the London Business School - graduating in 2004. Following his MBA, Shiv initiated a theme park project in Haridwar based on the Indian epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, securing $1 million in funding from non-resident Indians (NRIs), including Alice Coltrane, wife of the renowned jazz musician John Coltrane.
