Christa Avampato is the Founder of Double or Nothing Media. Equally inspired by ancient wisdom and modern technology, she uses her experience in and passion for creative projects and business development to tell stories that inspire people to build a better world.
Her career has spanned Broadway theater management, film production, product development, technology, education, nonprofit fundraising, and scientific research. Christa is also an award-winning author of the young adult novel, Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters, a journalist for The Washington Post, and the creator, producer, and host of New York City's Secrets and Lies, a live show about secret New York City history. She is also a licensed New York City tour guide.
Based in New York City, Christa earned her undergraduate degree in history and economics at the University of Pennsylvania, her MBA at the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and her Master of Science in biomimicry at Arizona State University. Additionally, she is associated with Cornell Tech and works as a mentor to critique and advise graduate students on their product development portfolios and startup strategies.
