Valerio Viale comes from Rome, Italy. Aside from being a film and TV script writer, he is a freelance journalist as well as a freelance subtitling translator and proofreader. His feature film screenplay, "A Muse in the lecture room," placed among the top 20% out of about 7000 entrants at the 2016 Academy Nicholl Competition. It was also a quarter-finalist at the 2017 ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship (5th Annual). His short film's script, "The First Kiss," was a semi-finalist at the 2018 Prisma Rome Film Festival. His 1/2 hour TV pilot screenplay, "Casanova's Poetry Club", was a 4th place winner at the London Film Awards (2018), a semi-finalist both at the 2018 Los Angeles CineFest and at the 2018 Hollywood Just4Shorts competitions, as well as a quarter finalist at the 2018-19 Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition.
