Paula Trickey was born in Amarillo, Texas, and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as the youngest of three sisters. She attended East Central High School in Tulsa. Paula discovered her passion for acting at the age of eight. During a difficult time for her family, she began writing and performing plays to uplift and entertain them. This early experience, combined with her ambition and determination, led her to participate in numerous school plays and theatrical productions throughout her elementary and high school years. While still in high school, Paula appeared in local commercials and pageants. In 1985, she was crowned Miss Oklahoma in the All-American Teen Pageant, a Miss USA event, ultimately finishing as a finalist behind an unknown Halle Berry. After graduating, Paula moved to Dallas to study acting, where she found success in commercials and local film projects. Armed with confidence and valuable experience, she relocated to Los Angeles in 1986. In Los Angeles, Paula secured a five-season role on Pacific Blue (1996), playing Police Sgt. Cory McNamara, a by-the-book officer. She was also a series regular on NBC’s Trade Winds (1993) and had recurring roles on shows such as The O.C. (2003), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), Walker, Texas Ranger (1993), and Renegade (1992). Her filmography includes several made-for-TV movies, including Past Tense (2006) on Lifetime, and Gone But Not Forgotten (2005), McBride: Murder Past Midnight (2005), and A Carol Christmas (2003) on the Hallmark Network. She has also appeared in feature films like The Base (1999), A Kiss Goodnight (1994), and Mr. Saturday Night (1992).
