Dean Ricky Goldblum is a South African stage, screen and voice actor working across American, South African and European studio, streaming and theatrical productions. Dean made his American Feature Film debut in Hulu/20th Century’s, Darby and the Dead (2022) and has since played parts in multiple projects across various theatrical and streaming platforms. Most recently, playing principle parts in U.S theatrical releases like Muzzle: City of Wolves (2025), as well as streaming originals such as Global Hits No One Saw Us Leave (2025) for Netflix, and Tubi Original Feature Match (2025). Dean has also played roles in originals for Fox, National Geographic, BBC, Syfy, CNN and AMC+. In addition to his U.S. work, Dean has led and supported projects across South Africa’s theatrical, film & television landscape, including cinema releases such as ‘Pretty How Town’ (2026) and ‘What About The Boys’ (2022), as well as multiple award-winning TV shows. His screen work spans projects such as Netflix’s The Kingdom (2022), South Africa’s longest running TV Show, Scandal (2026) and Amazon Prime originals, The Shakedown (2024) and The Morning After (2024). Originally from Johannesburg, Dean started his stage career as a six year old child actor, and transitioned to screen at the age of 13 on SABC’s Little Stars (2013). Dean trained as an Actor in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town while still working in some of the most beloved TV shows in the country, such as Generations: The Legacy (2019) and Rhythm City (2019). Alongside his screen career, Dean has performed in principal stage roles including A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2023), Big Fish: The Musical (2016) and Grease (2014). Dean continues to work internationally across film, television and theatre.
