Wyck Godfrey is an American film and television producer and entertainment executive who has generated billions in global box office revenue. He is best known as the co-founder of Temple Hill Entertainment, a prolific production company responsible for some of the most successful young-adult franchise adaptations in recent cinema, including all five films of The Twilight Saga. Renowned for his sharp insight into commercially viable literary adaptations, Godfrey has skillfully balanced the roles of independent producer and senior studio executive.
Godfrey began his Hollywood journey in creative development, working at New Line Cinema and later Horizon Pictures before forming a lasting creative partnership with former talent agent Marty Bowen. In 2006, they launched Temple Hill Entertainment, quickly producing a series of commercially successful projects. Beyond the Twilight franchise, which earned over $3 billion worldwide, Godfrey led major box-office successes such as I, Robot (2004), the Maze Runner trilogy, and acclaimed adaptations like The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and Love, Simon (2018). He also supported distinguished biographical dramas, including Damien Chazelle's Neil Armstrong biopic First Man (2018).
In 2018, Godfrey stepped back from daily operations at Temple Hill after being appointed President of Paramount Pictures' Motion Picture Group. During his tenure, he oversaw creative development, casting, and production, guiding major theatrical hits like A Quiet Place (2018), Rocketman (2019), and Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018). He later returned to independent producing at Temple Hill, expanding into streaming and television content. His recent projects include executive producing the Amazon Prime Video romance series Off Campus, the upcoming Netflix animated series Midnight Sun, and feature films such as Smile 2 and People We Meet on Vacation.
