Mel Velasquez is a writer and researcher known for his expertise on past and current societies and cultures. He is a self-proclaimed Hispanic Hoosier, who graduated from Purdue University and Indiana University. He has taught many courses in the social science field, as well as popular culture, and he has been a guest lecturer at places such as the University of Chicago and the American Psychological Association.
