Cecilia Bäcklander is a Swedish filmmaker, TV-producer, author, and program host. She has worked at Swedish Television SVT since the mid 70's with social community-oriented talk-shows, reportage's and documentaries. Bäcklander has traveled Europe, Latin America and Africa producing reports on important and current issues. Her documentaries "Hyena Square" (2007) about Elisa Joseph in Dar es Salaam, and "Women on the Run" featuring Linah Kilimo and Tegla Loroupe in Kenya, along with the TV-series "Torget" has been noticed.
