Carlo Essagian is a Canadian-born actor with extensive experience across film, television, and voice work in various animated series and audiobooks. His bilingual comedic performances have featured at the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival (Festivale Juste Pour Rire) as well as numerous corporate events, where he has served both as talent and presenter. Essagian is also a filmmaker, producing and directing projects, and holds memberships in ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Television & Radio Artists), UdA (Union des Artistes), CMPA (Canadian Media Producer's Association), and ACCT (Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television).
After earning a degree in Film and Communications from McGill University, Essagian ventured into private consulting, focusing on advertising, strategic marketing, and business and event development. He worked as an entertainment and promotions director for the Quebec-based restaurant franchise La Cage aux Sports, and advised various small to mid-sized businesses, including Biddles, Bijou, Sports Rock Café, and Montreal's iconic La Maison Ogilvy.
Before fully immersing himself in the creative and evolving entertainment industry, Essagian was involved in conceptualizing and negotiating sales, mergers, and acquisitions in advertising and franchising.
He was instrumental in launching the ACTRA (Montreal) Member Initiated Production of the short film "Life of Smiley" alongside a team of skilled colleagues. Later, after relocating to Toronto, Ontario, he produced the ACTRA (TIP) Toronto Independent Production short film "Driver's Test," earning a Director’s Award of Recognition at the Boston International Film Festival in 2007.
