Liz Marek is an American cake artist, recipe developer, educator, and television personality best known as the founder of Sugar Geek Show, one of the world's leading online baking education platforms. She is recognized for combining baking science with approachable teaching to help millions of home bakers and professionals improve their skills.
After founding Artisan Cake Company in Portland, Oregon, Liz gained international recognition for her elaborate sculpted cakes and innovative cake designs. Her viral creations and educational tutorials have been featured by major media outlets and have inspired bakers around the world.
In 2015, Liz transitioned from running a custom cake business to building Sugar Geek Show, where she creates recipes, video tutorials, and educational content focused on cake decorating, bread baking, pastries, and desserts. She has taught internationally at cake conventions and industry events and has become one of the most recognized educators in the baking community.
