Fluent in English and Spanish, the Dominican-born actor, originally from New York, now resides in Los Angeles where he continues to act, write, direct, and produce.
His latest short film, The Best Gift in Life is Life Itself, which he wrote, directed, and produced, has earned multiple awards, including Best Actor at Indie X, Best Director at the Catskill International Film Festival, the Berlin Film Festival, and the Jury Award for Best Director at the Los Angeles International Film Festival.
Mauricio is currently developing his next short film, titled "They" or "Them" Not "Whatever," which he will direct, co-produce alongside Sara Spring (known for Seal Team, Warrior Nun, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, among others), and star in.
