Biografia
Jon Miguel, a Filipino American actor, producer, and martial artist, was born and raised in New York City and the surrounding tri-state area. He thrives on pushing his physical limits and unleashing his creativity.
From a young age, Jon showed a passion for acting. He would watch cartoons, memorize the lines, and reenact the scenes, even dreaming of becoming a cartoon voice-over artist. A natural daredevil, at just three years old, he would push his Little Tikes car down the sidewalk and jump onto it while it was moving. At ten, he began training in Hwa Rang Do and instantly fell in love with martial arts. After exploring various disciplines, he developed a competitive edge, starting with Kempo, where he earned first-place trophies. He later focused on Wushu, training under two-time all-around Wushu Champion Grandmaster Hu Jianqiang, winning gold medals both in China and the United States. Jon has since taught and practiced Wushu extensively and even had the chance to perform for Jet Li.
Despite his early passion for film and acting, Jon noticed a lack of Asian representation in American cinema, leading him to study illustration at the University of Connecticut instead.
During college, Jon mastered drifting cars on mountain roads in challenging conditions like rain and snow, eventually becoming a certified stunt driver. Encouraged by a friend, he enrolled in a drama class where his teacher recognized his strong stage presence and cast him in a play. Over the years, he took on various film roles across Maine and New Jersey, often multitasking in productions. In 2010, after winning CastingsNClasses' 6th Anniversary contest in NYC with a video he created, he relocated to Los Angeles to fully commit to acting. His achievements earned him a feature in Backstage Magazine. Since then, Jon Miguel has appeared onscreen as an action actor, starring in feature films like Avengeance and Syndicate Smasher, performing stunts on Sons of Anarchy, and showcasing his work at the Action on Film Festival with projects such as Ground and Pound and Saving Sara.
