Claudine Longet, known both as an actress and singer, is often remembered for her past marriage to Andy Williams and the tragic 1976 incident in which she fatally shot her boyfriend, ski legend Spider Sabich. Early in her career, she appeared in episodes of notable TV shows such as Combat! (1962), Hogan's Heroes (1965), Dr. Kildare (1961), Mr. Novak (1963), and 12 O'Clock High (1964). She later secured the role of Michele Monet in Blake Edwards' film The Party (1968). As a recording artist, Longet was signed to Herb Alpert's A&M Records, releasing several albums in the late 1960s including Claudine, The Look of Love, Love Is Blue, Colours, and Run Wild, Run Free, featuring covers of songs by The Bee Gees, Donovan, and others. She achieved four US top 100 singles hits, notably "Love Is Blue" and "Hello Hello." After moving to the Barnaby label, she released We've Only Just Begun and Let's Spend the Night Together. Her third Barnaby album, Sugar Me, recorded in 1974, was not released until nearly two decades later. Highlights from this album include the title track, a cover of Lynsey de Paul's hit, and "Guess Who I Saw in Paris" by Buffy Sainte-Marie.
