Scott, originally from Minnesota, launched his professional acting career on stage at the renowned Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. His performances there included A Christmas Carol and Peer Gynt. He trained at Oral Roberts University and the University of Minnesota while pursuing a B.S. in business administration. During this period, he appeared in productions such as Hamlet, The Sound of Music, Carnival, The Fantasticks, and Oklahoma! In 1986, Scott traveled to Los Angeles to compete in the acting category on Star Search. After winning 13 consecutive weeks in the regular season, he ultimately won the final competition, earning the $100,000 grand prize. Scott’s next major opportunity was the role of Colton Shore on the long-running daytime drama General Hospital, which he played for three years. Following that, he moved to Pine Valley to portray Craig Lawson on All My Children for one year. After a year in New York with his wife and child, Scott returned to Los Angeles, where he spent seven years playing Connor Davis on The Bold and The Beautiful. His extensive primetime television credits include Frasier, Angel, Savannah, JAG, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Murder One, and Even Stevens, along with several made-for-TV movies. His feature film work includes Cutting Edge II, Going For The Gold with Kristi Carlson Romano, A Race to Space with James Woods, and Deeds alongside Adam Sandler and Winona Ryder. Scott has since relocated back to Minnesota with his wife Maria and their four children: Thane, Micaela, Cassie, and Jaden. He continues to act in theater and television within the Minneapolis area while also writing scripts for feature films.
