Biografia
Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Vivienne earned a Master of Creative Arts in classical/opera singing from the University of Newcastle, Australia. As a classical artist, she trained with distinguished vocal coaches, including the acclaimed Australian conductor Richard Gill.
Vivienne pursued acting studies at NIDA (Sydney), the Howard Fine Acting Studio (L.A.), and Ted Brunetti Studio (L.A.). She also trained in Improv with Bill Applebaum of the Actors Improv Studio (L.A.) and studied Alexander Technique/Animal Studies under the respected Jean-Louis Rodrigue in Los Angeles.
Her performing arts career is diverse, encompassing roles as an opera singer with Opera Australia and Pacific Opera; concert artist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven Societies of Australia and Japan, and Symphony of Australia; cabaret performer with her solo show Sentimental Journey at the Seymour Centre, Sydney; musical theatre performer with the Sydney Gilbert & Sullivan Society and Savoy Arts Company; and actress in television and film, including Ugly Benny, Beautiful Destroyer, and Khali the Killer.
Vivienne portrayed Bertie’s Mom in Seasons 1 and 3 of Judd Apatow’s Love (Netflix), the alluring Lilian Fleet in Season 8 of Shameless (Showtime), and Old Rhonda in The Last Anniversary (Binge/AMC), starring Miranda Richardson and Teresa Palmer and produced by Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films.
In 2016, she played Susan in Ruben Guthrie for the Australian Theatre Company in Los Angeles, earning a Broadway World nomination for her performance. Other theatre credits include Bridget in Bridget and Iain (Short + Sweet, Hollywood), Hope in Almost, Maine (Between the Buildings, Melbourne), and Linda in the world premiere of You Are the Blood (Spinning Plates, Melbourne).
Internationally, Vivienne starred in the haunting, award-winning short film Song From A Blackbird, which screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014, and in Bridget and Iain, portraying a mother coping with her son’s addiction. In Le Miroir, a film that garnered multiple international awards, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 2020 New York/Long Island Film Festival for her role as the enigmatic Hungarian opera singer, Madame B.
The pinnacle of Vivienne’s extensive performing arts career is her solo theatre production, DIVA, which premiered to critical acclaim in Los Angeles in November 2024.
