Danny Gold is an award-winning filmmaker whose work delves into the lives, creativity, and cultural influence of remarkable artists, entertainers, and public figures. As the founder of Gold Entertainment Media Group (GEMG), he has developed, produced, directed, and written projects spanning film, television, live events, and theater. His directing portfolio includes the acclaimed PBS American Masters documentary Blake Edwards: A Love Story in 24 Frames, HBO documentaries such as If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast, The Bronx, USA, and The Super Bob Einstein Movie, alongside the award-winning music documentary Killing Me Softly With His Songs and the feature documentary 100 Voices: A Journey Home. Over more than 30 years, Gold has created projects for top networks, studios, and distributors including HBO, PBS, MGM, Disney, Warner Bros., Sony, DreamWorks, MTV, ABC Family, and The History Channel. He also served as Executive Producer for MGM’s successful Agent Cody Banks film franchise. Renowned for revealing untold stories and taking audiences behind the scenes of creative accomplishments, Gold’s films blend intimate, character-driven narratives with rare archival materials and cinematic scale.
