Biografia
Mr. Ishikawa joined Boston Consulting Group Inc. in 1991, contributing to numerous projects focused on new business development, corporate strategy and vision, and alliances within the high-tech telecommunications and media convergence sectors.
In 1996, while still at BCG, he founded Digimation. His partner managed the company until Mr. Ishikawa left BCG in 1999 to become President of Digimation. Following a merger with GONZO in 2000, which formed GONZO DIGIMATION HOLDING K.K. (GDH), he was appointed President and CEO of GDH in May 2001. In 2008, GDH K.K. was renamed GONZO K.K., where Mr. Ishikawa has served as Founder, Representative Director, and Executive Producer. GONZO produces animation, games, and live-action content across multiple platforms, including feature films, television, games, and mobile/internet media.
He earned a Master of Science degree in physics, specializing in Astrophysics and Cosmology, from the University of Tokyo’s School of Science in March 1991. In 1995, he completed the MBA program at INSEAD, graduating on the Dean's List and receiving The Lister Vickery Memorial Award for Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Ishikawa has been involved with several governmental and industry organizations, including past memberships in The Japan Business Federation (Nippon Keidanren), VIPO (Visual Industry Promotion Organization), the Contents Global Strategy Committee at METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), and served as an International Advisor Panel (IAP) member for the Malaysian government from 2007 to 2008. He is a frequent speaker at industry summits and television programs. Additionally, he teaches a 'Venture Strategy' MBA course at GLOBIS University’s campuses in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
