Biografia
Elli Maclure launched her professional acting career in 1969, starring in a US television pilot for Screen Gems. She played lead and supporting roles in feature films, television, and theater, appearing in series, numerous guest spots, and pilots across Australia, Europe, and the USA. She collaborated with directors such as John Cassavetes, Peter Bogdanovich, Francis Ford Coppola, Mike Robe, Peter Weir, Simon Wincer, George Miller, and Tim Burstall. Her co-stars included Gena Rowlands, and she featured in an Italian film with Alberto Sordi and Claudia Cardinale, as well as a Spanish film with Antonio Ferrandis.
In 1991, under her birth name Christine McClure, she expanded her career to coaching professional actors ranging from pre-teens to adults in Los Angeles. Her students have earned nominations for Oscars and Daytime Emmys, won multiple Young Artists Awards, and secured lead and supporting roles in feature films, television, and soap operas. She has worked with directors like Sofia Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, Nancy Meyers, Tony Scott, Steven Soderbergh, Robert Zemeckis, and the Coen Brothers.
She has taught at the Los Angeles Film School and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Los Angeles.
