Sean Crampton, an award-winning actor, writer, and improviser from California, stars as "Woodman," a veteran with PTSD, in the psychological action film The Stalking Fields (Gravitas, 2024). He also appears in Steve Pink's The Wheel (Hulu), which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival.
He recently produced and co-starred in Good Bad Things (Hulu, 2025), Iamerica (Dances With Films, 2025), and Helmet (Dances With Films, 2023). Sean earned Best Lead Actor for his role in Richard Peter Johnson, a mockumentary he co-wrote and produced. The film won 11 festival awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor at the Playhouse West Film Festival.
Sean has acted in projects for Amazon (Spider), Netflix (The Debt Collector), and worked with directors such as Jesse V. Johnson, James Franco, and Desmon Heck. He trained with Jeff Goldblum, Robert Carnegie, and Sandy Marshall, and is a seasoned performer in the Los Angeles improv scene, having performed over 1,000 live shows at UCB, Second City, iO West, and with his long-running team Gibbon's Tail.
Beyond acting, Sean supports emerging filmmakers through his online community, Rebel Filmmaking. He is passionate about surfing, reading, and is a lifelong student of film.
