Biografia
Arseniy Gonchukov is an independent director, screenwriter, producer, and poet. He graduated from the State University of Nizhny Novgorod (Faculty of Philology) and the Cinema School at the National Research University "Higher School of Economics" (feature film workshop led by A. Fenchenko). Arseniy has worked as a journalist, television presenter, documentary screenwriter, and second director on the multi-episode feature film "Sindrom drakona" (Dragon Syndrome, Channel One Russia), directed by N. Khomeriki.
He is the screenwriter, director, and producer of four feature films: "1210" (2012), "Flight. Three Days After the Crash" (2013), "The Son" (2014), "The Last Night" (2015), and a short film titled "The Final Stop." All these works were made on low budgets without state funding. Arseniy handles the distribution of his films independently. In 2014, his film "The Son" was widely released in Russia and Poland.
Arseniy Gonchukov has received 18 awards from Russian and international film festivals. He won the Grand Prix at the "Window to Europe" film festival, the National Award "Strana," and honors at festivals such as "Kinoshok," "Volokolamskiy Rubezh," the "West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival" (Political Theme category), "Svyataya Anna," "Kinoprizyv," and others. He has participated in numerous film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, the Montreal Film Festival, "Chacun son Court" (France), "Ten Festiwal Kijow Warszawa" (Poland), among many more.
Arseniy produces his films independently, without any state support, funding them privately.
