Biografia
Mylène Dinh-Robic, a francophone of Vietnamese and Quebecois descent, was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She graduated with distinction from Concordia University with a BA in Communications, completing a double major in Film & Multimedia Production. She trained in acting with Nancy Sivak and Ben Ratner in Vancouver, as well as Gilles Plouffe and John Strasberg in Montreal. With over twenty years of experience, Mylène has performed on stage, in film, and in video games. She made her television debut opposite Nicholas Campbell as Rita Mah, a main character in the Vancouver-produced series Da Vinci's City Hall (CBC). Later, she appeared in three seasons of The Listener (CTV) in Toronto, portraying Dr. Olivia Fawcett. More recently, she acted in French-language Montreal series such as Plan B, Discussion avec mes parents, and Double Faute. She currently stars as Vera in the critically acclaimed TVA series Les Bracelets Rouges. In 2015, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Montreal ACTRA Awards for her role as Beatrice 'Bear' Hamelin in Bravo Canada's acclaimed cop drama 19-2, a part she played throughout all four seasons.
Mylène's passion for theatre has led to enriching artistic ventures. In 2007, she co-produced and co-starred in a Studio 16 production of Alan Bowne's provocative play Beirut in Vancouver alongside actor Adam Lolacher. In 2011, she chose to co-produce and perform in Noah Davis’s original play Point no Point at Toronto’s Tarragon Theatre, collaborating closely with the playwright and actor Noah Davis.
In 2017, Mylène was honored to serve as spokesperson for Montreal's Festival Accès Asie. Proud of her Vietnamese heritage through her mother, she values the festival’s role in promoting Asian artists and storytellers within Montreal’s cultural scene. She embraced the opportunity to support and highlight the remarkable talents of her fellow Asian artists in her hometown.
Her greatest accomplishments are her children, Edward and Élénore, who have deeply enriched her life and remind her daily of life’s wonders. Mylène uses her professional platform to advocate for her other passions: health and nutrition, protecting the earth’s rapidly declining biodiversity, promoting eco-responsible and sustainable solutions to combat climate change, and ending all forms of animal cruelty across the planet we call home.
