Aurora Cossio is a Colombian-Italian actress, producer, and psychologist known for her emotionally rich performances and commanding presence across Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
She rose to international fame with her recurring role as Estella in Netflix’s hit series Griselda, starring Sofía Vergara and directed by Andrés Baiz, creator of Narcos. Estella transforms from a street-level drug dealer into one of Griselda’s most trusted confidantes and right-hand women, embodying themes of ambition, survival, and the psychology of power within a criminal empire. This nuanced character arc and quiet intensity struck a chord with viewers worldwide, helping the show become Netflix’s top series globally in 2024.
In the U.S. market, Aurora guest-starred as Alicia Ortega, a formidable cartel leader, in the CBS series FBI (Wolf Entertainment), available on Paramount Plus. This role reinforced her trajectory of portraying strong, decisive female characters who command respect and authority.
Aurora also starred as Sergeant Melissa Downs in the feature film The Ritual Killer, alongside Morgan Freeman and Cole Hauser, released in theaters in March 2023. Her performance contributed emotional depth to the film’s dark psychological narrative.
