Julia is a celebrated European actress, screenwriter, and trailblazing intimacy coordinator based in Berlin, working internationally in German, English, and French. Renowned for her ability to navigate both drama and comedy, she infuses each role with physical precision, emotional nuance, and deep empathy.
She portrays the formidable Mrs. Gregson opposite Austrian acting legend Tobias Moretti in the international thriller series "The Net" and stars in the lead role of the award-winning drama "Blind Spots," which was featured at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Julia has also appeared as a guest star in prominent German crime series such as "SOKO Wismar" and "Polizeiruf 110." On the international stage, she played Patricia under the direction of Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Julie Delpy in the drama "My Zoe," which premiered at TIFF. Julia received her acting training in Paris, Oxford, and London, earning a Best Lead Actress nomination at the Off West End Awards in 2011. She made her German screen debut in 2013, playing the daughter of Jürgen Prochnow in "My Daughter’s Children." A gifted comedic performer, she won the prestigious Romy Award in 2019 as part of the ensemble cast of the Amazon Prime series "The Glory Is Gone," directed by Kai Wiesinger.
As a writer and creator, Julia wrote, directed, edited, and starred in the short drama "180 km/Empty," which screened at festivals worldwide and garnered numerous accolades. Holding a PhD in literature, she continues to write for both drama and comedy; her scripts have been selected for the Funny Women Awards in London and the Tallinn Black Nights TV Scriptpool. She is the Creator and Showrunner of the international female-focused dystopian series "Court of Muses" as well as the comedy series "Hell Yeah!!".
Beyond acting and writing, Julia is Germany’s first pioneering intimacy coordinator, having introduced and established the profession nationally in 2019. Projects she has contributed to have earned major honors including an Emmy Award ("The Empress") and the Grimme Award ("Black Fruit," "Angemessen Angry"). She has worked alongside internationally acclaimed talents such as Nicole Kidman and Hagai Levi.
