Jonathan G. Rodriguez, originally from Brooklyn, New York, briefly attended The Juilliard School for the Performing Arts before answering the call to serve in the U.S. Marines. After completing his service, he received an Honorable Discharge as a Marine Corps veteran. Drawn back to the arts, particularly acting, Jonathan landed a role in a film shot in South Florida, where he quickly developed a deep affection for the area. Following the film's completion, he returned to Brooklyn but soon decided with his family to relocate permanently to Florida. Armed with his union credentials, he pursued opportunities across film and television, thriving as a SAG-AFTRA actor, model, stuntman, and voice-over artist. Rapidly advancing in his career, Jonathan remains dedicated to the industry. Alongside his acting, modeling, stunts, and voice-over work, he has ventured into production, having produced a film and currently collaborating with investors to develop additional projects in and around South Florida, where he resides with his wife and children.
Upon beginning his craft in New York, Jonathan recognized the need for further training to achieve his ambitions. He enrolled at the Acting School of South Florida and expanded his education by taking classes in acting, voice-over, stunts, and more from various coaches as his schedule allowed. Balancing work within the industry while honing his skills, he embraced the mantra "Training First." His breakthrough came with a role in "New York Undercover," which earned him SAG-AFTRA membership, and he has been a professional actor ever since. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Jonathan has secured roles in numerous Spanish-language television shows and soap operas. As a rising talent, audiences can anticipate seeing him in many exciting future roles.
Jonathan has appeared in commercials for brands such as T-Mobile, Gatorade, Toyota, Florida Lottery, Volkswagen, and Dish Latino. His voice-over work includes commercials for Snickers, Ford, Twix, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Kinect Disneyland Adventure. On television, he has been featured in series like The Glades, Burn Notice, and Magic City. His film credits include blockbusters such as Pain and Gain, Fade Away, Assumed Killer, and Krissy Bell, among others.
One of Jonathan’s aspirations is to work alongside his longtime idols, including Jeremy Irons, Tom Wilkinson, Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, and Denzel Washington. Always proactive, he is currently involved in producing a new film project, details of which will be announced soon. Jonathan continues to advance his career, bringing new projects to life as he moves forward.
