Biografia
Brandi has come a long way from her birthplace of Ft. Myers, Florida. Raised in South Carolina by her parents Bruce and Sally, both medical professionals, Brandi is an only child who has studied dance for 11 years and has loved performing since she was a toddler. After watching a local beauty pageant, she declared she wanted to participate. She did and won awards for prettiest hair, eyes, and Miss Photogenic. Soon after, Brandi discovered a deeper passion for performing during a school play where she portrayed a pesky horsefly. She has since participated in local community plays and musicals, earning various awards for dance, singing, and acting.
Brandi has traveled to NYC and LA multiple times and enjoys both cities. She trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in NYC during a summer program and demonstrates determination and resilience in pursuing her film career goals. To support this, Brandi was homeschooled and graduated high school two years early in 2013, at age 15. She continues to develop her talents as a singer, dancer, and actress and looks forward to relocating to Los Angeles to further her acting career. Currently 16 years old, she lives in Pennsylvania, just a short train ride from New York City.
In addition to her performing skills, Brandi is trained in American Karate and recently earned her first-degree black belt. She is also an accomplished screenwriter. Her second short film script, "Tiger Lili," a dramatic coming-of-age story about a young girl coping with domestic violence, was selected for the Beverly Hills Film Festival and several others. She co-wrote the short films "Two Rounds" and "No Brainer," in which she also acted. Brandi wrote "The Silver Key," which was her first lead role and screenplay. She has completed her first feature film script and is currently in the extensive editing phase.
Brandi has received two Young Artist Award nominations: in 2012 for Best Young Actress in a Short Film for her authentic portrayal of Jenny Hastert, an autistic pre-teen, in "Broken Pieces," and in 2013 for Best Web Performance - Young Actress for her role as Michelle Smith, a confused teenage witch battling dark forces, in "The Dark One" (Season 1).
