Biografia
Nicholas Humphries is an acclaimed director whose work covers genre films, television, and independent cinema. His projects have been showcased at renowned venues such as Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Egyptian Theatre, as well as international film festivals. His work has also appeared on major broadcasters and platforms like CBC, Super Channel, TMC, Fearnet, Space Channel, Tubi, Hallmark, Amazon Prime, Great American Family, and UpTV. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, including Best Short at Screamfest and the British Horror Film Festival, Audience Choice at the NSI Film Exchange, a Golden Sheaf, among others.
His feature film portfolio includes the sci-fi thriller Project Ithaca, which was released theatrically across North America by Saban and Lionsgate. In digital media, he directed episodes of the acclaimed Syfy series Riese: Kingdom Falling, which earned nominations for four Streamy Awards, three IAWTV Awards, a Leo Award, and was named an Official Honoree at the Webby Awards. He also directed the Halloween episode of Written by a Kid for Geek & Sundry, one of YouTube’s earliest premium channels.
Most recently, Nicholas directed Mystery Island for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, a successful film that resulted in three sequels being approved by the network. He holds an MFA in Film Production from the University of British Columbia.
