Charles Justo is a Dominican-American model and actor best known for his roles on ABC's Modern Family and Tyler Perry's Too Close To Home, where he was a series regular for two seasons. Born in Providence, Rhode Island to Dominican parents, he spent most of his childhood in Plant City, Florida. Charles is the middle of three siblings; his older brother shares his passion for health and fitness and owns an elite gym called Body Shapers in Tampa, Florida.
After college, Charles moved to Miami with just $50, a full tank of gas, and a dream. "Those were some challenging times," he recalls, "but they ultimately made me stronger." He was discovered during Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Swim Week, walking for designers like Argyle by Russell Simmons, Ed Hardy, Diesel, and Perry Ellis. This exposure led to campaigns with major brands such as Jaguar and Sean John.
His first screen appearance was on the Spanish-language show Sabado Gigante. He initially auditioned so his grandmother and family in the Dominican Republic could see him, as it was difficult for them to visit the U.S. That night, he won the title of Mr. Macho Man, along with a cash prize and a cruise for two.
Charles's career progressed when director Bille Woodruff cast him as a lead in Miami artist Trina’s music video "I'm Single Again." In the following years, he appeared in major commercials for Rooms To Go, Bud Light, and Daisy Sour Cream. He also starred as the male lead in the music video "Eras Tu" by Dominican bachata singer Santayé, signed to Pitbull's Mr. 305 label.
He made his film debut in the award-winning indie film Out of My Hand and has since guest-starred on shows like CBS’s The Inspectors, Sleepy Hollow, and ABC’s Modern Family. He played the lead role of Victor on Tyler Perry’s hit series Too Close To Home for two seasons on TLC.
His biggest break came when his agent informed him he had booked a role in the blockbuster Marvel film Ant-Man & the Wasp.
Charles currently resides in New York City, where he continues to train and hone his craft and passion for the arts.
