BIO: MORRIS ABRAHAM – Television Director
With nearly 30 years of experience, director Morris Abraham has collaborated with some of Hollywood's biggest names. He gained widespread acclaim throughout his career, starting in Canada where he directed and produced the country’s most popular TV shows before relocating to Los Angeles to become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand television directors.
Morris has directed, produced, and consulted on a variety of major television projects, including series, specials, talk shows, sketch comedy, award shows, game shows, and music programs. His extensive network credits include hit series such as MAD TV, IN LIVING COLOR, LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN, KIDS SAY THE DARNDEST THINGS with Bill Cosby, and the music series SOUL TRAIN.
He has worked closely with prominent comedy actors like Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey, Damon Wayans, Rosie O'Donnell, Howie Mandel, and Greg Kinnear. Beyond his substantial work in comedy series, talk shows, and stand-up specials, Morris has directed numerous high-profile live TV award shows and event specials, including THE MISS AMERICA PAGEANT, THE SOUL TRAIN AWARDS, TEEN CHOICE, CCMA, and CMT AWARDS. Additionally, he directed tribute specials honoring Jodie Foster and Bruce Willis for the American Cinematheque in Hollywood, California.
