Jonathan Erickson Eisley is an American bi-coastal actor working between New York and Los Angeles, with expanding ties to Europe, recognized for grounded, character-driven performances defined by restraint, presence, and lived-in authenticity.
He portrayed Alvin in the feature film Runner, directed by Marian Mathias. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (Discovery) and screened at major international festivals including the San Sebastián International Film Festival, where it received the Special Jury Prize, as well as Göteborg Film Festival (Ingmar Bergman Debut Award), Chicago International Film Festival, Bogotá International Film Festival, Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and DUMBO Film Festival. He comes from a multi-generational acting family. Eisley is the son of Anthony Eisley, whose career spanned film and television alongside Paul Newman, Elvis Presley, and Dick Van Dyke, and who starred in the television series Hawaiian Eye with Robert Conrad and Connie Stevens. His extended family includes Olivia Hussey (Romeo and Juliet) and actress India Eisley.
He trained in Los Angeles at Playhouse West and Beverly Hills Playhouse with Jeff Goldblum and Robert Carnegie, developing a disciplined, behavior-driven technique centered on emotional authenticity and moment-to-moment work.
