From childhood, Anthony was captivated by cameras. Naturally, he joined his musician brother, Jon Bon Jovi, as a camera operator on the "New Jersey" tour. His first professional camera experience involved touring the globe with Bon Jovi for 16 months, filming in 54 countries. It was during this time that Anthony earned the nickname TBJ, short for Tony Bon Jovi.
Over the following years, Anthony refined his skills while touring with artists ranging from Debbie Gibson to KISS. Upon returning to New Jersey, he became a highly sought-after music video director for emerging bands. His debut music video won MTV's "Highway to Fame" Video Competition with Bad Biscut’s cover of AC/DC’s "Highway to Hell," securing the top spot on "Headbangers Ball."
Anthony toured again with Bon Jovi during the "Bounce" album era. He now directs all of Bon Jovi’s live shows and shapes the band’s stage visuals. For the "Bounce" tour, he wrote and directed nine cinematic, interconnected mini-motion picture vignettes that accompanied the live performances. These vignettes impressed the band and management so much that the album was re-released as a "Limited Collectors Edition," featuring them on a "Bonus DVD."
Recognized for his sharp eye, meticulous attention to detail, and dedication, Anthony was hired to create music videos for artists including Goo Goo Dolls, Jack Off Jill, Rhino Party, Chris LeDoux, and most recently, Bon Jovi's Grammy-winning "Who Says You Can't Go Home." This video also won a CMT Music Award for "Collaborative Video of The Year" and the People's Choice Award for "Favorite Rock Song." Additionally, TBJ produced and directed Bon Jovi’s "This Left Feels Right" DVD, which earned the DEG's Creative Excellence Award for "DVD of the Year."
Other notable credits include the "Sympathy" and "Give a Little Bit" music videos and the "Live in Buffalo July 4th" DVD for Goo Goo Dolls, as well as Marilyn Manson’s "Guns God and Government" DVD—all of which reached the top 10 on DVD and video charts.
