Biografia
Jesse Albert is a current member of the Producers Guild of America, having been elected twice to serve three-year terms as a board delegate. He works as a consultant and occasional investor in entertainment-focused technology, including AI, as well as traditional and emerging media. Until recently, he was Head of Agency for RFLXT, an IOG-funded Web3 platform developing and distributing digital doubles integrated with Web3 and VR games. At RFLXT, Albert managed a portfolio of influencer talent for inclusion in the platform’s blockchain games and AI projects. He also led the launch of a new online magazine in collaboration with Bob Guccione Jr., founder of Spin, Gear, and Discovery Magazines.
Albert produces television through his company, Xpansive Media, where he sells and executive produces both scripted and unscripted content. Throughout his career, he has partnered with or sold projects to companies and talent including ABC, Universal Television, HBO, Showtime, Hulu, Netflix, NBCU, Oxygen, Matador Content, AOL, Bobcat Studios, and others. Previously, he worked at Entertainment One Studios to develop a digital-to-television division and was Senior Digital Agent at ICM, focusing on digital and branded entertainment strategies for top-tier clients such as Beyoncé, Showtime, and Chris Brown. His agency work spanned multiple divisions, primarily digital, publishing, video games, and venture capital.
Before ICM, Albert led U.S. digital entertainment for Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment, creators of American Idol, where he helped establish the first American Idol/Apple iTunes partnership and played a key role in launching artists like Chris Daughtry and Jordin Sparks.
He also co-founded and served as general manager of Media Revolution, one of Hollywood’s first digital agencies, which worked with every major studio and network.
Albert has taught a graduate-level course on Digital Media & Entertainment at USC’s School of Cinema in the Peter Stark Producers Program.
He holds a degree from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Journalism and an MFA from USC’s Peter Stark Producers Program.
Earlier in his career, he toured as a roadie for artists including Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, and numerous emerging rock and punk bands.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their newly adopted Labrador retriever.
