Tracey Cherelle Jones is an actress, writer, artist, designer, and TV personality who embodies the spirit of a modern renaissance woman. Her acting career began at the age of 8 when she landed her first audition for a national McDonald's commercial. This early success sparked her passion, leading to numerous commercials and print work. Starting young gave her a confidence that has stayed with her into adulthood.
After earning a degree in Pan African Studies, Tracey secured the lead female role in the hit film "Don't Be a Menace to Society While Drinking Your Gin and Juice in the Hood," alongside Shawn and Marlon Wayans and directed by Paris Barclay. Following this success, she appeared in "The Players Club," directed by Ice Cube, "Baby Boy," directed by John Singleton, and several other studio films. Her television work includes a series regular role as Cassie Coleman on "Good News," a recurring role on "Men, Women, and Dogs," and numerous guest appearances on popular shows like "Family Matters," "The Wayans Bros.," and "The Jamie Foxx Show."
Having trained with some of the industry's best and recognizing the limited opportunities for diverse roles for minority actors, Tracey chose to create her own stories and characters for film and television. She has written two pilots and a feature-length screenplay. Additionally, she produced and hosted a pilot called "Living Large," a modern, urban take on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous."
Tracey has always been passionate about art and design. She began designing spaces and dressing rooms for friends in the entertainment industry as a hobby. This passion led her to pursue professional training, and she is currently enrolled in graduate school working toward a second bachelor's degree in Interior Design. She has designed homes, offices, and even a school for celebrity clients, family, and referrals. Tracey is also developing a nonprofit organization aimed at "Aging Design" for the Baby Boomer generation, focusing on helping those facing financial hardships to upgrade their living spaces for better health accommodations. She holds a deep compassion for the disabled, aging, and elderly, dedicating herself to making their environments both beautiful and comfortable.
Tracey's determination, resilience, and strong work ethic have made her a powerhouse in every endeavor she pursues. Through her creativity, education, and experience, she continues to turn her dreams into reality. She stands as an inspiring and genuine renaissance woman.
